The Better Fight Fellowship has ONE Purpose:

We are building a network of gyms and professional martial artists who want to go above and beyond to better serve their communities.

But what does that mean?

We provide financial assistance and coaching so that gyms can be more than "just" a place where people train, helping them grow into centers where multiple needs are met.

Anyone who has spent time in a gym knows the incredible impact they are capable of. A gym is a place where someone needing a job meets someone who is hiring, where students quickly organize a fundraiser to pay for a training partner's medical bills, where hungry kids can gather after school knowing they'll find something to eat.

Better Fight looks for these gyms and gives them the resources to harness this incredible generosity. We are a community driven non-profit, created by martial artists for martial artists.

Our philosophy

When we have a setback, we're said to suffer a blow.  If the setback overwhelms us, we're said to be down for the count.  When someone supports us through these times we say "they're in our corner."

When we want to express something about the struggles we’re experiencing or our capacity to overcome them with dignity and discipline, we draw our metaphors from fighting, combat sports, and martial arts. We do this because martial arts are not just a metaphor for life, but are life at its most raw.
